Beautiful studio art pottery tile wall plaque from Saint Andrew's Abbey Monastery in Valyermo, California. Handmade by monks out of stoneware clay, this design is called Joseph The Carpenter with Son and Horse. Metal loop on top for hanging.

The texture of the stoneware is wonderfully tactile, you can really feel the hand of the monk who shaped it. It hangs perfectly in my workshop and the image of Joseph with his son brings a calm focus to the room.
